Foreword Reviews is the only review magazine solely dedicated to discovering new indie books. And when we find the amazing ones that stand out from the crowd, we make sure that everyone knows about them. Foreword Reviews' INDIEFAB Book of the Year Awards are more than just a shiny sticker on the front of a book; they help connect the best indie books to readers eager to discover new stories written by previously unknown authors.
Librarians, booksellers, and enthusiastic readers all make buying decisions with more confidence knowing a book has earned an award from a reputable organization. As a review journal responsible for more than 10,000 sharply opinionated book reviews since 1998, Foreword Reviews takes that role seriously.
In the hyper-competitive publishing industry, an awards program created exclusively for independent presses offers a great opportunity for established publishers, self-published authors, and university presses. Savvy publishers realize they can build powerful publicity campaigns around this coveted award.
All the entries in the 60+ categories (genres) are culled by our editorial team to a shortlist of finalists. The finalists are then sent to qualified booksellers and librarians across the country for final judging. Finalists will be announced mid-March on the Foreword Reviews website, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, by email to registrants, and in the Foreword This Week e-newsletter.. A celebration of the winners will take place during the American Library Association Annual Conference the last Friday in June.
